MND: PLAN Silk Road Ark Hospital Ship Brought Hope through Medical Service

记者：据了解，中国海军“丝路方舟”号医院船正在执行“和谐使命-2025”任务，是否可以介绍一下近期的工作情况？
Question: As far as we know, the PLAN hospital ship Silk Road Ark is on Harmony Mission 2025. Could you please update us on its journey?
张晓刚：中国海军“丝路方舟”号医院船已先后到访瑙鲁、斐济、汤加、尼加拉瓜、牙买加等国，现停靠在巴巴多斯布里奇敦港，为当地民众提供医疗服务。该船自9月5日执行“和谐使命”任务以来，累计提供诊疗服务2.1万余人次，实施手术2200余例，各类辅助检查检验近1.4万余人次。在瑙鲁，74岁的米洛老人登船接受眼科手术重见光明，激动地说中国医生让我重新看到了海浪的颜色，现场观摩手术的瑙鲁医护人员纷纷称赞中国军队的人道主义精神。
Zhang Xiaogang: The PLAN hospital ship Silk Road Ark visited countries including Nauru, Fiji, Tonga, Nicaragua, and Jamaica, and is now docked at the port of Bridgetown, Barbados, providing medical service to local people. Since the beginning of Mission Harmony on September 5, the ship has provided medical treatment to more than 21,000 patients, performed over 2,200 surgeries, and conducted nearly 14,000 auxiliary examinations and tests. In Nauru, a 74-year-old man, Milo, regained his sight after receiving an eye surgery aboard the ship. Overwhelmed with emotion, he said, "Thanks to Chinese doctors, I can see the ocean's colors again." Nauruan medical staff who observed the surgery were all impressed by and commended the humanitarian spirit of the Chinese military doctors.
